Read Mighty Mouse's Thought For The Day - Every Day
This is the story of a tiny kitten - a runt, who was not expected to live. He refused to give in - he struggled against being put to sleep and left to die - even though people mistook him for some kind of alien mouse and not a kitten. His heart is bigger than a mountain - his love is boundless. He is an inspiration to everyone who comes in contact with him

Hi everyone.... It's been a strange weekend but Olivers eye infection seems to have cleared up and he and D'Arcy have been having lots of cuddle time. I don't know what they're up to - but they don't seem to want company.
There are times when my boys just need....well.....boys' time
Hi Everyone, Oliver and the family have just come back from his first holiday - on Victoria's Phillip Island - famous for it's wild penguin colony. The little blue ( yes, that's right - blue) penguins are so pretty and just adorable. And obviously our boy thought so too. But we all know holidays are the time for romance.
I reall did try to be tactful but I had to mention that his new love was....to put it bluntly ...stuffed!
But Oliver Lord Monta Purrington still thinks he's Mighty Mouse - and he won't be told!
And Idon't think Gwen was entirely truthful with him
Hi everyone. Tonight, a classic from about 6 weeks ago. Mighty Mouse's best friend is D'Arcy - a beautiful Burmilla who is 9 months older than him. D'Arcy is very classy and decided that MM should be a well rounded gentleman kitty. So he decided to give the boy dancing lessons.
MM - or Oliver as he is mostly known - wasn't that enthusiastic...especially when the dancing seemed a bit...well...naughty
And then it got downright dangerous
Poor little boy just didn't have the stamina....or the rhythm!
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day....make your beloved take you dancing!
Hi Everyone...I am lecturing in screenwriting at Open Channel two nights a week at present - plus my writing - which means there's not a lot of time to get things done at home. Fortunately I have a WONDERFUL (???) Helper!
To Mighty Mouse this was just a green whirry thing....the concept of TV specials escapes him.
After he'd finished breaking ornaments - he decided to help load the dishwasher!
And then of course - he helped get the washing out of the dryer.
On a scale of 1 - 10 Lord Oliver Purrington AKA Mighty Mouse scored a whopping TWO!
I'm so sorry there was nothing yesterday. I had computer problems all day. Whether it was the heat that made downloading ( or is it uploading) photos impossible or just that the computer HATES me I don't know. But it seems we are back on track today so thanks for your patience.
Hi Everyone. Today was a big day for Lord Oliver Monta Purrington. He's been growing at such a rate and he's been eating with the big cats and sleeping with D'Arcy in the study. We've had the green tent in the family room ever since he came to us. It was his whole world while he was trying to stay alive and become Mighty Mouse!
But if we thought he wouldn't care about us packing up the tent...we had another think coming!
He dug his claws in and refused to let Tony pack it up.....which was a big enough job anyway since it's one of those crazy things that folds up to a small circle.
There was no way he was giving up his tent and he howled and miaowed like he was being tortured!
And finally Tony gave up fighting him and let him have it back. But nothing is that easy.
So tomorrow is another day. Let's hope MM has forgotten all about his tent by then. Our boy is growing up....most of the time.
Hello Everyone. After feeling off colour following his F3 shot...it's not surprising that Oliver had a little accident on the rug. He was mortified. And D'Arcy really has no idea about cleaning up!
A Mop might have helped but poor Oliver did his best to get the broom
Sometimes the boy gets so frustrated that he's so little
But somehow between them they managed to drag the wet rug out of sight into the front room... where they were totally exhastipated as Oliver would say!
I am sure there will be a new adventure on Thursday night - but both Oliver and his best friend D'Arcy had their F3 shots and microchips today and were feeling a little bit misreable afterwards. Nothing to worry about - just a little enervated, and it's such a hot night here they don't want to do anything.
They'll be back on deck Thursday for sure...and so will I. Hugs Coral

Born in a litter of 6 to a beautiful Birman queen, the kittens looked to have a good start being normal weight. But within 24 hours, their mother had no milk and the kittens needed to be handraised. By the time he was 11 days old, barely hanging on to life, 2 of the kittens had died. He was the size of a mouse and weighed less than 100grams when he was a week old. His breeder struggled to hand feed the remaining 4 kittens without help, but it was an impossible task. She took him to the vet at 4 weeks to be put to sleep. But something about him persuaded the vet not to put him down. When I first encountered him, HE WOULDN'T STOP PURRING. In order to save the older 3 kittens, MM was destined to die - his luck had run out, and that's when I took him. It was his last chance and all the odds were against him. He weighed 210grams - which is about 7 ounces at 4.3 weeks and was mistaken at the vet's for an exotic Mouse. NOBODY expected him to live. But he had other ideas. You can read his story by following the link and joining Cat World ( a very simple process)- and that in turn has a link to his first few weeks. Enjoy
